Great food must engage the sense in a way as to connect the acts of cooking and serving to the joy of eating as an exercise of the soul. The standard we set for ourselves is to make this connection with every plate we make and to have fun doing it. Our Service, we are happy you are here. Zoot is first and foremost an Austin restaurant and so we have little time for pretension or attitude. Our service staff is the best in town because of their dedication to their craft and their depth of knowledge about our cooking and the wines that work best with each plate. our service is precise, yet informal and we are always happy to help with any question or concern you may have while dining with us. At Zoot, we seek to engage, renew and taste the promise of spring, the joys of summer, the rituals of autumn, and the comforts of winter. And while the seasonal expectations of our guests are by definition local in their timing, our choices in ingredients are global in scope. Today, we integrate the local farming seasons with the seasonal offerings now available from all over the world. In order to balance these overlapping seasons, our cooking techniques strive to be appropriate fo the ingredient and true to the instincts of the season in which it is prepared. The careful pairing of cooking and wine is meant to complete the meal, to fulfill each food's promise.
